Pooh Sticks Bridge in Ashdown Forest, the original One Hundred Acre Wood, near Hartfield, East Sussex.

Knowledge first.
Pooh-sticks in time’s river,
Float around the rocks;
Don’t worry, they won’t get stuck.

Act now, act kindly.
Work seriously
And enjoy it.
Care, yet accept.

Do what you can,
Bear what you can’t.
Focus on what matters,
Float with grace.

The greatest good is knowledge — predictive, explanatory, falsifiable knowledge of how the universe works. Ignorance is the enemy; superstition and denial cause needless suffering.

You are always changing, shaped by life. Thoughts and moods are ripples, not your essence. Keep moving; don’t get stuck on silly things. Trust your competence; don’t worry about challenges.

Don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want done to you. Live without harming others.

Notice your thoughts and feelings. Let go where you can; lighten the load. Laugh often.

Don’t take things personally. Don’t make assumptions.

Focus your attention carefully: what you tend grows. A steady mind is a sharp instrument. Giant oaks grow slowly, but surely.

Always do your best. Persist: real artists ship. But know when to stop and don’t chain your happiness to results.
